Support fairness, dignity, and real educational freedom.
“Education is a natural process
carried out by the child and is not acquired
by listening to words but by experiences
in the environment.”
Maria Montessori
Every year, thousands of Italian families choose to educate their children at home guided by curiosity, freedom, and love of learning.
But when these students must take the state’s annual exams, many face misunderstanding, hostility, or outright rejection. Public schools often lack training in or openness toward alternative education.
Families end up paying private schools just to be treated fairly.
Libera Schola is building Italy’s first exam center created specifically for homeschoolers.
It will be a legally recognized school offering supportive, unbiased, and professional assessments - no matter where families live.
In February 2024, we presented our vision to the Ministry of Education. The response was encouraging.
Now, we need your help to build it.
The first school in Italy built to ensure homeschoolers are assessed fairly and with dignity.
Many parents are pressured to give up homeschooling because of this exam. Your donation helps defend their rights.
Italy gave the world Montessori.
Let’s make it a leader in educational freedom again.
Even $10 can make a difference. Libera Schola is a registered nonprofit.
Your gift supports:
– Purchasing the building
– Launching the exam center
– Legal recognition
– Family support and advocacy
With your support, we will create not just a school - but a
welcoming space.
A place where students arrive with
pride, not fear.
Where families are greeted with warmth, not bureaucracy.
Where the spirit of Montessori lives on: in respect, curiosity, and peace.
Crediamo che un'educazione personalizzata e inclusiva sia fondamentale per il futuro.
